WATTS® Trap Primer, Series: LFTP300, 1/2 in Pipe, 4-1/4 in Length, Solder, Brass, 1-1/4 in W, Import
This 1/2 inch trap primer is installed in plumbing systems to prevent floor drain traps from losing their water seal by evaporation. It operates by sensing the pressure drop in the supply line from downstream fixtures or appliances. This trap primer features a lead free brass body with EDPM seals, built-in air gap, and 1/2 inch solder inlet and 1/2 inch female NPT outlet. The minimum supply pressure must exceed 25 psi (172 kPa) and the maximum supply pressure is 125 psi (8.6 bar).
- Prevents backflow of sewer gas into building
- Built in vacuum breaker ports 6
- The wetted surface of this product contacted by consumable water contains less than 0.25% of lead by weight
- EPDM seals
- Must be installed on a cold water line serving a frequently used fixture
- For proper trap priming, minimum flows must exceed those stated in the flow chart
- Lead free brass construction
