The 3M™ Aqua-Pure™ whole house scale inhibition replacement water treatment cartridge AP431 for the AP430SS was designed to reduce scale build-up on hot water-using appliances such as water heaters (standard and tank-less), clothes washers and dishwashing machines and on plumbing fixtures like faucets, pipes and shower heads.
- Polyphosphates, included in this product, help to inhibit scale build-up in water heaters (both standard and tank-less styles) and in appliances such as dishwashers and clothes washers which can help extend the life of hot water-using appliances
- Designed for scale and corrosion inhibition to help extend life of hot water systems, pipes and downstream plumbing fixtures
- Multi-application design effective on all types of hot water systems - boilers, tankless and tank-type (gas or electric)
- Maintains efficiency, by inhibiting scale buildup on heat elements, helps maintain water heater efficiency
- Easy to replace, easy change-out makes system maintenance easy
- High flow rates - rated for up to 10 gal per minute (gpm)
